What to Expect

Get ready for a unique insight into the diversity of STEM in Australia. Take a tour of ANSTO's nuclear reactor, research and medical manufacturing facilities. Auslan interpreters will be available. Then join us for our Careers Q&A panel, featuring amazing examples of diversity in the STEM workforce. Deaf STEM professionals tell their stories in Auslan about studying and working in the sciences, and our panel facilitators will field questions from the audience for discussion. Auslan interpreters will be available to interpret the conversation into spoken English. Learn more about the experiences and achievements of Deaf STEM professionals, as well as the barriers young Deaf people face when considering careers in STEM.
